چکیده

Artificial chemistries can be used to explore the generic properties of chemical reaction networks. In order to simulate for instance scenarios of prebiotic evolution the model must be close enough to real chemistry to allow at least semi-quantitative comparisons. One example is a previously described Toy Model that represents molecules as graphs, thereby neglecting 3D space, and employs a highly simplified version of the Extended H ückel Theory (EHT) to compute molecular properties. Here we show how the Toy Model can be extended to multiple phases by connecting the EHT calculations with chemical thermodynamics.

Using Artificial Neural Network Modeling in Predicting the Amount of Methyl Violet Dye Absorption by Modified Palm Fiber

Bio-absorbent palm fiber was applied for removal of cationic violet methyl dye from water solution. For this purpose, a solid phase extraction method combined with the artificial neural network (ANN) was used for preconcentration and determination of removal level of violet methyl dye. This method is influenced by factors such as pH, the contact time, the rotation speed, and the adsorbent dosag...

Artificial intelligence-based approaches for multi-station modelling of dissolve oxygen in river

ABSTRACT: In this study, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system, and feed forward neural network as two artificial intelligence-based models along with conventional multiple linear regression model were used to predict the multi-station modelling of dissolve oxygen concentration at the downstream of Mathura City in India. The data used are dissolved oxygen, pH, biological oxygen demand and water...

Pareto Optimization of Two-element Wing Models with Morphing Flap Using Computational Fluid Dynamics, Grouped Method of Data handling Artificial Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms

A multi-objective optimization (MOO) of two-element wing models with morphing flap by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques, artificial neural networks (ANN), and non-dominated sorting genetic algorithms (NSGA II), is performed in this paper. At first, the domain is solved numerically in various two-element wing models with morphing flap using CFD techniques and lift (L) and drag ...

Modeling and Simulation of Water Softening by Nanofiltration Using Artificial Neural Network

An artificial neural network has been used to determine the volume flux and rejections of Ca2+ , Na+ and Cl¯, as a function of transmembrane pressure and concentrations of Ca2+, polyethyleneimine, and polyacrylic acid in water softening by nanofiltration process in presence of polyelectrolytes. The feed-forward multi-layer perceptron artificial neural network including an eight-neuron hidde...

BeeID: intrusion detection in AODV-based MANETs using artificial Bee colony and negative selection algorithms

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are multi-hop wireless networks of mobile nodes constructed dynamically without the use of any fixed network infrastructure. Due to inherent characteristics of these networks, malicious nodes can easily disrupt the routing process. A traditional approach to detect such malicious network activities is to build a profile of the normal network traffic, and then iden...
